As an American living abroad i listened to VOA on shortwave radio for 20 years. It's powerful transmitters could be heard anywhere in the world. It was a beacon of trusted information to listeners all over the world who could not get world news otherwise. Shutting it down is an absolute shot in the foot by the myopic amateurs surrounding trump who i bet have never heard a minute of it's programming.
