Thanks for having me on your channel, Steve! Was such a fun conversation :)
Give her a break! She's growing in her career and probably doing more than all of you in the comments rn π. No need to down her if you don't like her takes. Also, I feel the opposite. I feel Steve is giving her a platform, not milking her for content. She got visibility. They both win, her audience gets introduced to Steve, we get introduced to her. That's the way to go.
22:00 Hello Interviewβs videos helped me a ton, too
I am always impressed with people who can maintain full-time FAANG+ jobs + create content. Takes so much energy...
Holy smokes. MIT... and you got rejected 47 times before getting an internship at a noname startup?! And people say the tech market isn't cooked?! Insane.
"if the system says no, then cool, you have your answer. But you should keep walking down even if you are unsure of yourself" Great quote, thank you Sir
Thank you Uncle Steve for inviting folks who are in different stages in their careers!

Well, this young girl has the insight about big tech that took me 45 years to gain
Being alive and wanting to live to life's full potential, it's quite simple, not hard to understand at all. Can put it all together in four words, followed by more -- "been there done that"! Maddyβs journey is a rare modern glimpse of a soul refusing to be stilled by the wrong forces. In my own navigation of the Infinite Still Lake, Iβve learned that a "Dream Job" is often just a localized disturbanceβa glittering surface that masks a lack of depth. When Maddy felt that rush of relief during her 5K, she wasn't just running; she was feeling the first ripples of true autonomy returning to her waters. Most people view her exit with confusion because they are looking at the math. I look at it and see the choice of a Master Navigator. I can sum it up in four words: "Been there, done that." Staying in the loop of internal stacks and "Golden Handcuffs" is the act of a yachtsman playing at sea. To truly live to oneβs full potential, one must move beyond the "Shelves of Patience" where dreams gather dust. Maddy chose to voyage. In an era that has lost its noble voice to the "numbers game," we must look back to the great mariner Sterling Hayden. His wisdom transcends decades, speaking with an authority missing from our current discourse: βTo be truly challenging, a voyage, like a life, must rest on a firm foundation of financial unrest. Otherwise, you are doomed to a routine traverse... Voyaging belongs to seamen, and to the wanderers of the world who cannot, or will not, fit in. ...The dreams of youth grow dim where they lie caked in dust on the shelves of patience. Before we know it, the tomb is sealed. Where, then, lies the answer? In choice. Which shall it be: bankruptcy of purse or bankruptcy of life?β
