I have created a brag doc manually for a few years now that I use for my yearly reviews at work. My leadership has confirmed it was useful since they couldnβt remember all the problems I solved in the last year. I wasnβt really a Notion fan when I tried it before, but the AI summary functionality seems worth another try.
This is such a year round effort to suck up to others. Wish we could just show up and do an honest, good job. Not have to go to such lengths to justify our being.
Overall useful, but there is a paradox- to survive in the age of AI, you need to "remain as human as possible" (the highest potential of the human mind); a muscle that is not trained dies (which means many will develop "intellectual bedsores"). Soβ¦ where thinking is required, itβs better to think (train the brain!), and AI should be used where you can let things run on "autopilot" (unconscious competence; meaning it doesnβt engage the slow-thinking mind; Prof. Kahneman). Nextβ¦"habit"; the mind is lazy- if you teach it that itβs possible to not think and still do something, it will suggest this to you in the future, creating "directional perception" (repetitive habits shape human nature). etc etc The AI revolution is dangerous because it is not a technological revolution (!) *Besides; I will write better than AI (because itβs stupid)
Not sure Steve... I might be wrong but your videos are often just a sales pitch for AI tooling.
Personally prefer Obsidian, but Notion has nicer UI and better integration (Linear being a major one)

6 figure MONTHLY revenue is crazy
My meeting notes don't usually contain details about my achievements though.
Thanks for the video Steve. What software was that that didnβt label the speaker in the transcript, at 5:15?
