The way you guys are teasing us with Sacks feels like I’m in a relationship where she keeps messaging me at 2 am and keeps me hooked.
Never have I loved Jason more than today. Calling out Sam for what he did is exactly the comment that was missing
39:40 is Jason’s epic statement on having zero pity for OpenAI. Huge respect for Jason on this take
Just in time for my commute. Thanks guys for all you do
It was very nice to have Travis with actual experience talking about China. Would love to hear more stories like this
One of the best discussions on AI development I've listened to in a long time. This and Ray Dalio's interview were absolute bangers.
The search is over, Travis Kalanick needs to be the permanent bestie on All In. He provides in depth analysis, rounds out their expertise, and he keeps Jason in check like David Sacks did.
The discussion about Cloud Kitchens at the start is pure "Silicon Valley, live in a big city" mentality.
What you guys are missing in the "distillation" discussion is that OpenAI has a page about distillation in their API docs. So they do allow and expect their models to be distilled but not for training models that compete directly with their models. As to why Azure wasn't able to prevent it from happening, that's a naive question. Any rate limiting technique is almost trivial to evade if you have the resources, i.e, thousands of Azure accounts.
Wow..makes food sound as appealing as Soylent green!
