Repatriation is fine. I worked in India for many years on very good wages. When my work ended there was never any question I should be allowed to stay at Indian people’s expense. Friends with children born there also left. It should be the same here.

Be everything they do not want you to be; healthy, married, with children, Christian, pay cash, build community (locally), eat meat, be independend of the state if possible, pay as little taxes as legally possible and get a legally accepted wheapon.
