The IRGC has spent $1T+ on its nuclear program, which for all intents and purposes, is a quest to develop nuclear weapons. Tehran’s power consumption runs 76,000 MW and peaks at 80,000 MW. Remember that Tehran has been suffering from constant power outages… not to mention a lack of potable water. New York, for illustrative purposes, has 3.3 gigawatts of nuclear power, accounting for ~20% of its power needs. To build a nuclear facility abroad, it costs ~$2,500 per kilowatt of capacity. So, back-of-the-envelope math is that if Iran had wanted to power its capital city of Tehran with 100% nuclear power, it probably would have cost ~$200B, but one likely would be able to do so cheaper. One would expect that a totalitarian regime like the IRGC is not overburdened with costly regulations. So, the Islamofascist Iranian regime spent 5x what it would likely have cost to build nuclear power plants – with the express intention of creating nuclear weapons. Not only did the IRGC spend $1T on its nuclear program, but has not built one nuclear power plant to show for that massive expenditure.
Okay Ben, if war is so great, you’re military age, go for it!
We do know what happened now to that indoctrination facility (school) in Iran: A misfired missile of the Iranians' dropped onto it and exploded. I'd have 2 nickels for this one if we count that time Hamas bombed their own hospital in similar fashion.
Can we please address the campaign slogan "NO NEW WARS!" And square that with this new war!? Still is not add up for me. Ben also keeps saying, "We're winning!" What the hell does that even mean? Most Americans see this war as an utter failure on his campaign promises. It'll affect the midterms, and we'll likely lose Congress. And it could even lose us the Presidency in 2028. We can't keep starting these regime change wars where we have to nation-build like Iraq 2.0. That's exactly what this is shaping up to be. Dropping the bombs a year ago was one thing. But now we're going right in there to do what we know is RETARDED to do... Start a new damn war with a large country that most Americans do not even care about. Here we go again, spending trillions while the citizens are crushed by inflation and financial hardship. How about giving some of that war money to the PEOPLE OF AMERICA WHO NEED IT? I'm trying to see eye to eye with Ben here, but his judgment is critically clouded by his overzealous loyalty to Israel. It's obvious he would choose Israel over the USA any day of the week. And I get it...His religion is directly connected to that country. That can't be our foreign policy, though. I love Israel just as much as the next guy... but I do not put them above the USA, and our citizens, and that is EXACTLY what is happening here. I'm not happy about it as a Trump voter. We basically got duped by the neocons yet again, and we will regret this in the coming years. It will not be fast and easy. It will cost a fortune. We will be responsible for rebuilding that nation. And there will be another nation next that Israel wants us to attack... so it'll be never-ending. We have to put our foot down, man. We can't keep doing this crap. Saying that we are "winning" doesn't make it any better bc winning has not even been clearly defined. Starting any new war, whether we kick their ass or not, is def a loss compared to what we were promised. And the old wards have not even been ended which was also promised. This is where the Republicans lose the people. And sadly, we will all suffer more for it. Why... Just why?
dude u rock. i love the commentary. u cut through the noise and garbage opinions like noone else.
It's like that scene in Jaw's. Mayor- "I don't think you understand our problems". Hooper - "I think you're going to ignore this particular problem until it swims up and bites you in the ass!"
You're not "asking questions" if you ignore the answers people give you.
Hate the so called 'Humanitarians' who never said a word when 30K Iranian protestors were slaughtered by the IRGC
I'm with you Ben. You speak common sense. I'm a God fearing catholic who loves loves loves my Jewish older brothers and sisters. God bless America !!! 🇱🇷🇱🇷🇱🇷
The sad thing about the US deaths, is that they weren’t taking part in combat ops. They were in an unprotected building in Kuwait. Kuwait air defence coverage and communication was lacking at that time.
