As a person who went to college and studied Chemistry and went on to work at a pharmacy company: If I had to do it over again, I would have become an electrician or welder.

Mike Rowe was also a Boy Scout who earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. That's an education in itself, teaches life skills, conflict resolution, giving back to the community, acts of service, project management and so much more. I've heard that some people with eagle scout rank on their resume automatically get hired. They learn leadership too They've got excellent programs for adults also at a fraction of the cost

Thomas Sowell stated that the best thing about attending Harvard was that he was no longer impressed by anyone from Harvard.

Plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC. Culinary etc. When I lived in Los Angeles, my roommate owned a plumbing and electrical company. He was apprenticed by a family member, and he did the same for his employees. He is Jewish and got most of the upper escelon jobs including people like Sherry Lewis and Veronica Peck , who's homes he actually went to parties at. You need to be smart and have good character and you will do well in a trade.

Wish that college would cut to the chase to acquire a skill like in other parts of the world where you do not have to go to school for half of your life
