At this point all these reports trying to make us think inflation is slowly retreating means nothing to me, what I go by is my weekly grocery costs which have gone up 200% and is not easing off. Thankfully we are no longer renters and became owners before Biden's changes came down and escalated costs to buy a home.

Practical inflation. In June, a full shopping cart at Kroger cost me $250, which was up from $180 at the start of the year. Yesterday, the cart cost me $453.00. Not great on percentages, but my grocery bill more than doubled in 2022, and nearly doubled since June. I do grocery shopping 2x/month, so my grocery bill is approaching $1k/month, up from $720 in January. That's moderating? Really? Rent jumped $400 per month in May, $4,800 per year. Gas has dropped from $6 per gallon to $4.75 last week. I buy 60 gallons per month, so its dropped from $360 a month to ... well, you do the math.
