Every house on my street has an American flag out. Deal with it.
The fact that we are all American, it’s a day when politics shouldn’t matter, because it’s our flag that connects us, we are all human, but more importantly, we are all Americans.
I am a black 14-year-old and I put my flag up myself. I am grateful for those who died for me and I will not take that flag down.
Im a 42 year old black man, and I have a flag in front of my house.
Went to rodeo yesterday. Heartfelt pledge, prayer, national anthem. Hats removed in respect. Loud singing and cheers. Stadium filled with melted-pot Americans. At least cowboys and cowgirls still know who we are.
I served 20+ years in the U.S. Army with people from all over, in all shapes and colors, in all the branches of the armed forces. Everyone I served with was proud to be an American in uniform.
It was sad that during my city's 4th parade the drag queen and pride float got more claps and praise than the military floats and a WW2 vet
My family use to believe that the American flag was a sign of racism on the yard as well when I was growing up. Mainly because other families of the same ethnicity would tell us this. I had to realize this wasn’t true as I got older and made friends. We now celebrate the 4th every year.🎉
My liberal brothers asked why the last beer couldn’t be drank at the BBQ. I told them it’s for those who paid the ultimate price so we can sit here and grill out in peace. When the fireworks started I poured it out to remember my two high school friends who made the sacrifice in the dunes and came home with a flag draped over them. I did the same thing on Memorial Day. Freedom isn’t free. Hope everyone had a happy 4th, I did. Grilled out with friends and family, got drunk and everyone slept it off at me casa.
Best fireworks show I’ve seen in years. They had a fire midway through and the firefighters put it out and THE SHOW WENT ON!!!
