China and Russia Are Behind the War on AI Data Centers

Time for Daily Wire to send out investigative reporters to actual data centers and interview the people who live near them.

Oh look, yet another thing Ben is dead wrong on.

American citizens who love this land are behind the war on data centers. Massive buildings paving over farmland. A huge electrical drain on an already overburdened grid. Wells going dry as they use unfathomable amounts of water. Ground pollution in neighboring farms. All for additional data collection/sale and worthless AI incapable of reading a spreadsheet property, much less any valuable work. People don't realize the scale of these things untill they're at one in person. It's insane.

Our town is fighting a data center that was foisted on us in secret, with NDAs, sleazy lawyers, and a manipulated local government that did everything under the table. Some company decided in secret to place a data center right next to the largest neighborhood in our little town, as if there was nowhere else that it could be placed. Ben, you have a lot of good things to say normally, but you have no clue what is actually going down on this issue. You need to come to a small town and talk to the people here. Or volunteer to have a data center built right next to YOUR home.

I live in a small town. We have creeks and a river. We also have a horrible drought. We do not have water to share. Today, I found out some centers use chemicals instead of water. What kind of chemicals? Are they safe? The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is down the street. Does anyone care about the environment for humans and animals? Does anyone know or care about the echoing noise that rings off of mountains? Our electric bill will go up. Duke Power grabs money whenever it can. Do you have a data center on your property? Why not?

If these AI Companies are so benevolent and want so much to “help” communities, then why in the heck are they not openly and fully and transparently explaining all the benefits and the glorious helps they will provide through their AI Data Centers? Why do they just swoop in with secret deals and grab land and break ground without any public notification or involvement? Answer those questions. Until these AI Data Center Companies openly disclose all their information and build reasonably with sound proofing and limited environmental impact, then I’ll trust them. If they don’t want us to “trust China/Russia” as you say, then these AI Data Centers need to closely involve the USA public at large.

Nah, I don't want my water polluted, my electricity rates to skyrocket, my tax dollars being siphoned away from infrastructure, and my ears constantly under assault in the name of and AI slop bubble. This won't be a single issue vote for me, but my decisions aren't at all based on what China or Russia want to psyop us about. It's about my community.
