ANOTHER Church Shooting…What The Hell Is Going On?
Veteran Shootings, Media Endorsements of Violence, and Trump’s Federal Deployments
Analyze how political rhetoric fuels violence, review The New York Times' defense of alleged terrorists, and detail President Trump's aggressive plans to deploy federal troops in blue cities to combat crime.
Short Summary
- Confront two mass shootings by Iraq War veterans that underscore a national mental health and veteran support failure.
- Critique The New York Times for publishing pieces by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Nicole Hannah Jones that allegedly minimize the murder of a conservative commentator and praise figures linked to terrorism.
- Examine President Trump’s order deploying federal troops to Portland and Chicago to support ICE agents against intense local political resistance.
The episode outlines immediate crises stemming from extreme political polarization. Readers will gain insight into the documented connections between rhetoric and violence, the mechanics of perceived media bias in major publications, and the escalating use of federal law enforcement power against city management.

I’m an Iraq war veteran. I was outside the wire almost every day for a year. Seen it all. Firefights, roadside bombs, etc. I have severe ptsd from it and I’m 100% service connected on that alone. I have never once thought about doing this to innocent people. Never. These two men brought shame and dishonor to our military and deserve every bit of scorn we can muster.
The guy intentionally drove into a church mid service, opened fired with a gun, then burned the church down. Not to mention he then got in a shootout with the police. It’s wild people claim this wasn’t a targeted attack. The guy brought a can of gas to burn the church down. That means it was premeditated, thus it was targeted
Prayers to all the LDS families harmed by this, my heart aches.
Thank you Ben Shapiro, I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints and I was heartbroken to hear about this after church yesterday.
I am a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. Thank you for your respectful coverage. It was a very difficult weekend.
I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was nerve-racking going to church yesterday. Such a sad day, we also lost our Prophet on Saturday night too. Just to let you know, it wasn't a temple, but a church house for Sunday worship. May God bless and watch over those who endured the horror from yesterday. ❤
Thank you Ben for saying the complete name of the church at the beginning your report. It actually brought tears to my eyes. I know several of your colleagues refuse to say it. Your respect for other religions, regardless of their specific tenets is always thoughtful and present.
I worked in Michigan not too far from there and I even went to church in Michigan. Let's never take life for granted. Every second we have on Earth is a blessing from God.
My condolences to members of the Mormon community. This is a horrible thing that happened. My prayers are with the victims families
Shooter definitely targeted this Mormon church, as his home is right next door to another church, so he drove from his home to the neighboring town to target this building. He also made negative comments to a door-knocking politician running for local office about Mormons, prior to this tragedy. He lives a mile up the road from me. I've never met him or his family, but I have seen his truck on the road.
