Trump-Zelenskyy Meeting GOES TOTALLY NUCLEAR

People don't remember one key thing: The US and Russia already gave the security promises in 1994: "Ukraine committed to full disarmament, including strategic weapons, in exchange for economic support and security assurances from the United States and Russia." (before that: "Ukraine held the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world, including an estimated 1,900 strategic warheads, 176 intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), and 44 strategic bombers", they trusted in the States and they already got the word). They are in the bad spot in the first place because they gave their arsenal away (and took the word). Putin would have never attacked Ukraine if it did have the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world - Like they already had before they took the word and trusted in the States and Russia.

Ben think's it's unreasonable to call a war criminal/ dictator "mean words" because it "won't lead to a deal." Meanwhile, Trump called the man he's sitting next to a "dictator" a week earlier. WTF is this double standard.

You left out the part where Trump and Vance have been calling Zelenskyy names - like a "dictator," as well as idiotically stating he "started this war" - for *weeks* leading up to this.

Ben do you honestly see Trump putting any equivalent demands on Putin, the aggressor in this conflict?

Freezing military aid to Ukraine is an odd way of showing the United States doesn’t want Russia walking into Kyiv.

Vance absolutely was making things more difficult than they needed to be. He was seemingly just trying to totally overwhelm zelensky, in order to make him grovel at their feet. It was really childish and over sensitive. He seized on one thing zelensky said through his broken english, and then just completely lost his mind, went into military drill seargant mode, doing knife hands, dogging every single word out of his mouth like he was a child being scolded. completely out of line, that simply is not how you conduct diplomacy with a man fighting for his countries continuing existence. Simultaneously he was egging on trump to get in on the action, and trump fell for it, hook, line, sinker. By the end you can see zelensky is completely overwhelmed, trying unsuccessfully to get a word in edge wise while the 2 big mean americans scream at him about how awful he is. If I was zelensky i wouldn't agree to another meeting without stipulating that vance can wait tf outside, lol. Sergeant slaughter over here cant just start screaming every time he hears something he doesn't like.
