I say keep up the blockade until the IRGC is no more, you can't negotiate with terrorists.
I think there are fields where AI would be useful, but I don't know if I like it in every field.
the ONLY thing I HATE about AI is the way people use it to make FAKE VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS with it--AI "politicians" making speeches--faces of REAL HUMANS on video with AI generated voices!!! FAKE CHEATING CRIMINAL GARBAGE!
AI always hallucinates. The more you know about a subject the more you see when it's wrong. It's kind of like when you read a news article on a subject you are well versed in and you can see everyplace where the author has screwed up. Generally when I use it to answer questions its is accurate 80% of the time, so 20% of the time it's wrong. AI seems most beneficial at helping to create code and going through large amounts of data to find patterns. Will it get better, yes, but how much and how long that will take who knows. It appears that their are several ways we have improved AI but we eventually come to a crossroad where the multiplier exceeded the cost savings. AI is here to stay but it feel like it's hitting a wall until their is a innovation within that can accelerate it again. This is probably for the best anyways so we can adjust over a more normal amount of time. Also remember bad data in means bad data out which create a real problem for AI. Also, they want AI to improve itself by affirming it's own outputs which is narcissistic in nature and I don't see how that will make it give better responses.
Cheap junk delivered to your door means absolutely nothing if Americans can’t afford the basic needs to sustain a family through long term employment
AI is like a very drunk friend at a bar, you have to interpret them.
the reason AI usage is increasing in tandem with the hatred for using AI is because many of the people are forced to use it for work. Their employers cram AI down their throat and set metrics for how much they need to be using AI programs. Any job interview today at white collar companies requires you to gush about AI and how much more productive you are, even if that's not true.
Ask Google AI a question you already know the answer to, and see how many times it gets it WRONG. When I told it it was incorrect, it apologized, said I was correct, and then proceeded to give me another WRONG answer.
The main concern I have with AI is: who will profit from increased productivity? If you’re a software engineer now getting done 5x the amount of work, you’re not going to see a 5x increase in pay, but surely some of the prosperity should be shared with the people doing the work. I am worried that won’t happen and instead wealth will be further concentrated at the top as companies start undervaluing the need for talent because of AI.
