I live in Georgia, the suburb that I grew up in on the southside of Atlanta is booming. Entire brand new Neighborhoods are being bought by investors for rental properties before most of the homes are built. The Unlucky few individuals that buy the first few homes have no idea that the majority of the subdivision will be rental properties. Sickening

We have a similar situation in Canada regarding corporations quietly buying up residential properties. I think it's multi-units buildings as opposed to detached homes, though. However, many homes are owed by foreign investors.
