Dr. Abdul Alsad: Systemic Critique and Strategy to Reclaim the Democratic Base

Dr. Abdul Alsad details his strategy to defeat corporate influence in Michigan and critiques national Democratic reluctance to address critical issues like foreign policy spending and youth engagement.

Short Summary

  • Outcome: Alsad positions himself as willing to challenge corporate money and entrenched party leadership on both domestic spending and foreign policy stances.
  • Why it Matters: His campaign priorities—M4A, wage suppression, ending "blank check" spending—aim to re-engage voters disillusioned by the system.
  • Context: He contrasts the 'symptom' (Trump) with the underlying 'disease' (oligarchic influence) requiring systemic political change.
  • Orientation: This discussion focuses on Alsad's Michigan Senate bid, drawing lessons from the 2024 election results and the implications of the recent New York primary regarding youth turnout.

True story- I’m 34 y/o now, but when I was in 7th or 8th grade, Cory Booker was either running for or was Mayor of Newark NJ. He was a friend of my teacher’s husband and planned to visit my school, I wasn’t impressed and told my teacher that he was a sellout and she made me write a paper about him and how great he was because he was a Rhode Scholar that went to Oxford. Good to know that I’ve always been an adequate judge of character.

Booker is Israel first.. he should run for office in Israel not here! I’m a democrat but I despise Booker and the Democratic Party, I’m sick of the corruption..
