PBS Frontline had a documentary about how Walmart operated, driving American businesses under in favor of imports, all in search of the cheapest price, and after watching it I refused to buy anything from them. Now, twenty years later, I can't afford to buy from anywhere else.
always welcome a stoller segment
We're getting closer and closer to the cyberpunk corporate dystopia.
Find yourself someone who looks at you as longingly as Matt Stoller looks at a bag of Doritos
I once saw a guy filling a large cart at Aldi with gallons of milk that he was going to sell in his own store. Now I understand what he was doing. Even with the Aldi markup he was going to buy at a better price that he could get direct from the milk distributor.
I like how Matt will occasionally talk to the bag of doritos like Hamlet talking to the skull of Yorick.
Doing a Doritos commercial while crapping on Doritos. 🤣 Love Matt's segments.
Predatory economy. Smh
This why small grocers get products from Costco
