Voting for 3rd party is not a protest vote. It is voting for the candidate you resonate with the most. To say otherwise is propaganda and a quick way to lose my respect. Also, if voters are displeased with the party, the correct answer is to investigate why and make the changes necessary to improve the lives of your base. Telling them to vote without change is telling them you don't care for the people you are reaching out to. Which would be the most honest thing the democratic party has said in a long time.
