Saying “new york has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel and so we must do what Israel wants” is so insane… why not use the argument for Puerto Ricans/etc? How about you start prioritizing visiting the island and pushing for Puerto Rican statehood/etc? Oh wait… because we don’t have an AIPAC

NYC has 1.9 million black residents. Does he need to promise to visit Africa? It has 1.8 million from the Caribbean. Does he need to promise visits to Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic? Why is it that only one group warrants special loyalty pledges?

As a Jew I can’t articulate how much I’m pulling for Mamdani. He’s the embodiment of hope.

As sad as it is to watch Colbert become the character he used to be a parody of, Zorhan did a great job answering that question.
