The irony is that Iran cld have asserted their geographic power and closed the Strait of Hormuz long ago - and had reason to do so and use it as leverage given the sanctions against them, Israel's on-going assassinations and sabotage in Iran over decades, the US/Israel attack last year, Gaza, etc etc. They CHOSE not to. Their restraint was misinterpreted as weakness by the US/ Israel

The US press have totally missed what the UK PM said today about 35 countries - the big Europeans, Canada, Japan, s Korea, the UAE and Kuwait - getting together WITHOUT the US to get Hormuz open diplomatically/ politically. He specifically did not mention military solutions. You’ve got another coalition right there inc americas closest allies who want a separate deal. Iran will definitely want cash/ lifting of sanctions/ maybe some commitments against Israeli aggression in return. It really is just the US and Israel now.
