Saagar is busy today as he is rosin pressing last week's harvest for THC oil extracts which he then sells as part of his side hustle. It's tough out here in 2025. Gotta do what you can.

Algorithmic price setting and Price setting through AI needs to be illegal immediately. If Tyson is going to shut down that plant then the state should seize the plant and start its own meat packing business and create some competition. If Tyson is going to destroy a town for profit then they should not be allowed to own assets in that town anymore.

“Clumsy” is a very charitable way to put it Emily. They’re incompetent. This administration is literally the most incompetent group of people in the history of the world. If they had a shred of competence, they would’ve already overthrown the government.

4 meatpackers sell 90% of the beef. They don’t need an algorithm to collude, just 2 phone calls.

The beef industry has been a crock for a long time. Producers and consumers both get screwed while packers and middle-men control the price on both ends. As Krystal mentioned, it's more complex since herd size is determined by a lot of factors. But, every time we open up borders to foreign beef the problem exasperates. Imo, as a small farmer, ag is a sector that is ripe for central planning. Sooo many ways this could improve the lives of producers and consumers. Obviously, we definitely need to enforce anti-trust laws and write a good farm bill (something we haven't had in far too many decades).

Apparently killing the poor for financial gain isn't the best political strategy after all.
