This title is extremely understated. They didn't just deport the guy, they imprisoned him.

Not surprising. But it happens because 1) this is considered a small price to reach the ultimate goal and 2) people think this will never happen to them. This is why some in Black communities objected to the National Guard being sent in to "clean things up."
