Democratic primary challenger Bobby LaPin is challenging Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson, demanding a special session to redraw congressional maps before the 2026 election. LaPin, along with State Sen. Arthur Ellis, delivered a 7,000-signature petition demanding a floor vote, accusing Ferguson of blocking necessary map changes.
