Description

Catherine Rampell welcomes Epstein survivor Annie Farmer to discuss Pam Bondi’s closed-door congressional testimony, the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files, and the unanswered questions that continue to fuel demands for transparency. No more closed door testimony before congress. None. Not even classified.

The survivors will probably be the ones who save the country. We suffer from a stunning level of cowardice in this country.

"Accountability and transparency". Did the entire room erupt in astonished laughter?

Comer says the government has failed the victims. He IS the government actively failing the victims. He said sunshine is the needed disinfectant for the Epstein crimes. Then he denies the victims and American people the ability to see Bondi answer questions on camera and under oath. That is the opposite of sunshine. That is the active avoidance of transparency.

When House investigators pressed Pam Bondi for straight answers about the Trump-Epstein files, she stalled behind rehearsed denials and procedural fog; when survivors and their advocates countered with dates, documents, and the record of redaction failures, they forced her evasions into the open; but when Department of Justice lawyers stepped in to block her from speaking about Trump, Epstein, and the machinery of the cover‑up, the whole inquiry snapped around that single act of state‑shielding force; and so the committee now confronts a Justice Department that has moved from mismanagement to intervention, from error to obstruction, with consequences that reach from Bondi’s closed‑door testimony to the public’s right to know.
