I don't think it's fair to judge somebody by all of their actions when they were under the influence of drugs. Calling Hunter a horrible person isn't fair. He has been clean for 7 years and has turned his life around in his sobriety.
The GOP tried so hard to make Hunter look like an entitled spoiled brat, but what they were doing was projecting who the Trump boys are. Hunter is appearing like who is, a flawed person who struggled and is trying to do better. This is someone totally relatable to MAGA followers, unlike the entitled, spoiled, corrupt Trump boys. THAT should be the story here! Why don’t we go after the Trump boys FOR NOT STANDING UP AND DEFENDING THEIR MOTHER, instead of going after a man who does have the balls to stand up for his mother. As a mother of two boys, I would prefer to have the character of Hunter (flaws and all) than Eric or Don jr.
