The team of Producers Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer and Director Tony Scott was a force to reckon with in 1986 and 1987 with their major hits Top Gun and Beverly Hills Cop II.
4:39 - Yes, Brandon. Ronnie Cox played that a-hole executive of OCP ('Dick Jones') that wanted to destroy Robocop so he could get his "ED-209" machine put out on the streets instead.
This reminds me that the world of cinema has never been the same when we lost Tony Scott. One of the best action directors.
80s was PEAK Eddie Murphy!😂
I just Realized After almost 40 years that the reason why Bogomil wasn't in most of movie even though he survived the shooting.....He was filming RoboCop 😆🤦🏾♂️
23:52 - This man (Tom Bower) played 'Marvin', an airport maintenance man, in "Die Hard 2" (1990). He passed away in 2024. 😥
RIP John Ashton and god bless him for playing the character John Taggert one more time in the newest Beverly Hills Cop film before he passed away. I also love the second one the best primarily because it had more action than the first one and I love seeing Axel, Taggert and Billy interacting with one another, their chemistry is great.
“WHY WON’T HE LET ME FRISK HIM THEN?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Prime Eddie was unstoppable.
Interesting Fact: Inspector Douglas Todd, played by Gilbert "Gil" Hill, was a real-life Detroit homicide detective and later a city councilman. Eddie Murphy was studying for his part in the first movie under Hill and Eddie loved him so much, he had the studio add him into the films. Some of Hill's dialog was improvised by Hill himself because that's his personality.
