When Groot says "I Love you guys", it wasn't actually him speaking English, James Gunn said it was us finally understanding him since we've come to know the Guardians enough as a family that we've pretty much become part of the group.😭
"I hope it's not sad" famous last words
One of the few Marvel movies to ever make me cry. Rocket had the most traumatic backstory ever. The fact that "hurts" was his first word is just heartbreaking.
Don't forget Nebula and Rocket were the only Guardians for the 5 five years after thanos' snapped so they grew close
Don’t worry Kristen, I cried even harder in the theater. The first GOTG was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away from cancer complications in 2015 at just 65 years old. What hooked her to the movie at first was the soundtrack of many of the songs she grew up on, but then she loved it so much that she became a fan of the MCU. It’s why this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So when “Dog Days Are Over” (ANOTHER favorite of mine and my mom’s) was playing and the Guardians were celebrating/moving on with their lives, I was a wreck. Not out of pain of loss, but of remembering the good times I had with my mom. As for the movie itself, it’s one of my top 10 favorite comic book movies ever, as well as an all time favorite. With a supervillain I have never wanted to kill more than The High Evolutionary. And I love that the song that was played to send off the Guardians Of The Galaxy was the first song we as the audience heard when we saw Peter in the opening titles of Vol 1. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go listen to Come And Get Your Love by Redbone!
“Rocket, Teef, Floor go now” is too much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Chris Pratts scream when Rocket was flatlining, absolutely gut wrenching. I’ve watched this movie 3 times and seen about 10 commentaries and it still shakes me to my core. So much raw, tangible emotion. And btw Groot didn't say different words near the end, we've just spent enough time with him that we can understand him now.
Forget Infinity War, forget Endgame. This. This is the MCU movie that generates more tears.
Damnit, I am sitting here bawling my eyes out and I’ve seen this movie multiple times. Kristen’s weeping broke my heart.
I saw this opening night in theater. Cried like a baby. 200+ persons in the room broke down. Saw it 10+ times since.. cried everytime. 😢 Kristen is a true badass letting the world share her emotions with this movie..
