Description

Ashleigh, Kristen & Brandon watch The Gentlemen, a stylish and sharp-tongued crime comedy about an American kingpin in London whose decision to sell his empire triggers a chaotic chain of schemes, betrayals, and blackmail. With its slick pacing, twisting narrative, and dark humor, the film delivers classic Guy Ritchie energy from start to finish. Directed by Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.), the film stars Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club, Interstellar, True Detective), Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy, Pacific Rim, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword), Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians, Snake Eyes, Last Christmas), Michelle Dockery (Downton Abbey, Godless, Anatomy of a Scandal), Jeremy Strong (Succession, The Big Short, Zero Dark Thirty), Colin Farrell (In Bruges, The Batman, The Banshees of Inisherin), and Hugh Grant (Notting Hill, Paddington 2, Four Weddings and a Funeral). Absolutely love this movie. Charlie Hunnam as Ray is a scene stealer. So is Colin Farrell!

This is my personal favorite Guy Ritchie film. Also I like it when Hugh Grant doesn't play the good guy role all the time and he plays characters like this because he was great as well as the whole cast

14:35 Guy Richie had a very specific idea for what he wanted that barbeque thing to look like to the point where he had it custom made and sells them now. It's called the WildTable/WildKitchen.

The best decision Guy Ritchie made was making Matthew McConaughey being an ex-patriate and not trying to give him a terrible accent.

For the ending bit with the kids I’m happy that yall are one of the first channels to point it out, but they had NO clue what was going on. They thought their boss was being controlled by Michael, and had no idea that he had basically gotten free of the deal. They planned on killing Michael, which they THOUGHT they were shooting up Michael and his driver, when they accidentally saved Michael’s life while killing the Russians

Glad to hear you praise Michelle Dockery. She doesn't get enough praise for this. To go from being Lady Mary in Downton Abbey to Roz is a helluva leap. I love the little look she gives her husband when she tells him to "put the kettle on then." Priceless! 😂
