These actors playing children in adult bodies are doing a hell of a great job.
Honestly, I think Nibbs was violated. They discussed her emotional trauma, and the way she said "no one will touch my insides" made me assume something happened to her as Rose. And instead of dealing with that weight through therapy, they thought it would go away like a deleted file.
18:00 "The whole reason why they're doing this" is NOT because they have a child in the group, it's because they DON'T have any children, in the group or otherwise. They mentioned in the first episode that Arthur had a low sperm count so even though they tried to have kids they couldn't. These robo-kids are the only "children" they'll have. So they've been raising them with the compassion of parents.... hence why the kids refer to them as "mom" and "dad". I don't know that we've specifically heard the kids refer to them by those names but I'm sure it's just to heighten the emotion of what's happening in these episodes as Arthur is betrayed by his "son" and Dame Sylvia is a motherly comforting figure for Curly
For Wendy/Marcy to say, "what did you do?" instead of, "why did you do this?" still plays to the situation. The question is still relevant and plays very naturally to other relationships. When a parent sees their child doing something wrong, the first question is never, "why? Why did you do this?". Maybe a parent wants to believe that their child did something wrong unknowingly, so the first question is often, "what?" - "what did you do?". I think from that perspective, they want the person they are directing the question to to first understand what it is they have done, but also, to view the situation and become aware of the consequences to their actions - look at who you hurt, look at what you have done - "what did you do?!"
That Mr. Strawberry line is Fantastic. Out of nowhere 😂
Originally, I was thinking the eye was going to go into Kavalier by the end of it all, but now, I think it might actually go into Morrow. Since he's like the Hook in this story, becoming the captain of the Maginot, having a hook (knife) for a hand, it'd be perfectly fitting for him to have the eye patch trope that comes with pirates! It also plays into the fact that he doesn't feel like he's human or machine, but the eye piloting him would now add the element of an alien to him, bringing together all three elements, a human, machine, alien hybrid!
I would guess Hermit wanted to save Siberian not only because they were friends/colleagues but he's a medic so saving lives is his training and in his nature.
"what did you do?" as used here is a rhetorical question, usually used by a parent to scold a child.
27:00 This was his squad / team, tough call
The brother didn't choose his "colleagues" at the end, he's choosing humanity over artificial. That's been his struggle the entire show. Seeing the grave of his sister was kinda of the final nail. I don't know how much of Wendy he sees as his sister, but it's not unconditional. He hates the aliens because they're dangerous. He hates the company because it's dangerous. And over the last couple episodes he's beginning to learn how dangerous Wendy can be
