Another movie with a bee in the title is another great movie called Akeelah and the Bee starring Angela Bassett & Laurence Fishburn, and l highly recommend it,ty😊

Gina Prince Bythewood is not talked about enough as a fabulous director and screenwriter (outside of Black spaces). She has literally directed or written some of my absolute favorite films! Her filmography is STELLAR and chocked full of gems! Yall already done Love & Basketvall. The Woman King is stellar and Beyond the Lights is another one of my favs. Yall def should get into her filmography for reactions. You won’t be disappointed

MAY WAS AUTISTIC! People tend to not realize this because during that time period it wasn’t a term. The actress did a wonderful job portraying the character and it makes so much sense why she did what she did out of being overwhelmed. Nobody would really know how to help her back then how she needed.

This movie came out around the time Jennifer's mother, brother and nephew were tragically taken away.
