Olivia waving goodbye to us hits so much harder now...
RIP Olivia Newton John.
ONJ had an Australian accent the entire movie , she IS Australian. They let ONJ keep her accent because she didnt think she could pull Off an American one.
Even if someone isn't a fan of musicals, you could never deny the chemistry that existed between Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.
This was THE most popular movie back then and still popular nowadays. And it still has those iconic songs.
Olivia Newton-John was Australian in real life. That was her actual accent. ❤
Michael slaying the lip sync to Hopelessly Devoted To You...living his Olivia Newton John realness!
Olivia Newton-John was already a very successful Pop and Country singer when she filmed Grease, but the success of the movie turned her into a global superstar. R.I.P. Olivia. Usually actors in their early twenties play high-schoolers in movies, but in this movie they really went for the AARP crowd. Travolta was young at 23, compared to Olivia who was 29, and Stockard Channing who was 33.
Crazy that the guys criticized ONJ’s accent when she was an actual Australian.
"If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter." lmao
