Fun fact: One of the Fratelli brothers, Jake, wears a hat the entire film. That hat is none other than Indiana Jones' fedora from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom. Steven Spielberg took it from Harrison Ford's head and brought it to the Goonies' filming. So you were correct. But not just an Indy Fedora. It was Indy`s actual Fedora:)

Some Fun Facts: •Astoria Oregon is a real place, I lived there when I went to Job Corps as a teenager •Astoria is also where the movie Kindergarten Cop was filmed (Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger) •some of the kids except for Jeff Cohen, who played Chunk, left acting as a teenager and became a highly successful entertainment attorney. He co-founded the Beverly Hills law firm Cohen Gardner LLP in 2002 and even negotiated the contract for his Goonies co-star Ke Huy Quan's Oscar-winning role in Everything Everywhere All at Once. •Most of the kid characters had their real-life parents stand in as extras during the final beach reunion scene, ​The main exceptions were Mikey and Brand (played by Sean Astin and Josh Brolin), whose on-screen parents were played by professional actors Mary Ellen Trainor and Keith Walker. •​Additionally, the film's cinematographer, Nick McLean, made a cameo appearance as Mouth's father. •The ship at the end was also a surprise, the actors didn't know it was being made, those are real faces of surprise and awe.

My sister & I watched this movie as kids during the 80s every night one summer. Come midnight, we’d pop it in & watch. I can recite every word of this film 😂😂😂

RIP, Richard Donner, John Matuzack, Anne Ramsey, Mary Ellen Trainor, and Lupe Ontiveros for making this one of the funniest adventure comedy movies ever made. A sequel is in development as of 2010, but had been put on hold due to COVID and the SAG AFTRA Strike.

This movie is such a classic, no matter how old I get I will never get tired of this movie

As someone that grew up in the 80s (8 to 18), this takes me right back to my childhood in the best decade EVER.
