Just remember that "Ultimatum" and "Legacy" take place simultaniously and you'll get it. This is the only franchise I know of where two movies happen in exact time.
As awesome as “If you were in your office right now we’d be having this conversation face-to-face” is, for me the best line in the movie is when Jason tells Paz, the assassin he spared, *”Do you even know why you’re supposed to kill me? Look at us. Look at what they make you give.”* Echoing the last words of Clive Owen’s The Professor from Bourne Identity. It’s just so simple and yet so powerful that it can reach even an experienced assassin’s heart.
In the commentary for this director Paul Greengrass said during the scene when Nikki told Jason why she was helping him by saying “It was….difficult for me………with you” it was supposed to never be learned what that meant. Like, did she have unrequited feelings for him or vice versa, did they have an affair, or was there something far more complicated that tied them together? And Paul absolutely loved how Julia Stiles played that scene with such nuance.
1:03:40 - "Look at us, look at what they make you give" is also what the agent in the field said in the first movie just before he died.
I've always liked the way they wrote Nicky. She's not an operative but she still responds in ways that show she is very highly trained and aware.
Daaamn Achara. "Marie's dead!" 😂😂😂
I love the callbacks to the previous movies like the "Look at what they make you give" from the first one and the call to Landy from the second. This doesn't just pay homage to the others, it brings them into the main story.
True, the fight with Desh reminded me of the fight with the assent in the first movie with the asset in his home. The way they adapt and respond to each other is very realistic.
the next one has Jeremy Renner and Rachael Weisz and the last one is back to Matt Damon.
Bourne vs. Desh was the best fight in any of the Bourne movies.
