"I was here the whole time but nobody could see me"
5 is great because of the reveal. But, 6 is a masterpiece.
These episodes are genuinely peak cinema
FINALLY, people who understand that the cup of stars speech from mrs dudley is actually super sweet! i don't understand how or why some people think it's creepy when she's literally just telling her to never lose her shine lol
Nellie deserved infinitely better than what she got, the dancing scene gets me everytime 😭😭😭 and dont even get me started on "i was right here the whole time and none of you could see me, nobody could see me" absolutely heart breaking especially with the context of her (once again) trying to keep the family together at her own funeral...
Fun fact - Nell's therapist (Russ Tamblyn who is also Amber Tamblyn's father) is Luke from the original Haunting of Hill House Movie in 63
The beauty of this show is that The Haunting is meant in so many different ways. Haunted by ghosts, by memories, by trauma, by mental illness, by loss, this family is haunted in so many different, yet terrifying ways. It's not your typical horror, which is probably why I love this series so much. Hold on to your hats, because it does come full circle. Continue to pay attention to every part of every scene. That's my best advice. I'm honestly not a fan of horror as a genre in general, but this series, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and The Fall of the House of Usher are all exceptions to that rule.
Bent neck lady went from scary to tragic. 😢
The twin thing works like crazy. When Nell is on meds, luke on drugs and vice versa. Twin thing. If one gets bad, the other one too 😢
theo was right about shirley and the money; she had no right to dictate that no one wanted steve's money without ever consulting the others and giving them no leeway to disagree with her, and then get pissed when people decided for themselves and kept it from her after her little soapbox speech
