Thomas Brophy discusses whether altered states such as dreams, meditation, psychedelics, and near-death experiences can provide genuine insight into consciousness and reality. Do altered states reveal something beyond ordinary physical reality, or are they entirely products of the brain?
The obsessive focus on consciousness isolates many important aspects of ourselves, including our own humanity which is often overlooked.
We really appreciate all of your hard work Mr. Kuhn. It’s obvious how much efforts you put into this brilliant channel ❤
if mr kuhn could overcome his fear of Psychedelics (altho he does not admit this is the real reason for avoiding them, he would learn so much. It is not a matter or trusting or not trusting, it is an opening into understanding.....
Krippner and Ullman performed many experiments on dream telepathy. Their results showed that the dream state can be conducive to receiving information from a sender via a parapsychological channel. Lucid dreaming can result from autosuggestion where the experiencer uses autosuggestion to induce the phenomenon.
I have had several telepathic quantum tunneling or teleportation synchronistically prophetic/predictive dreams 5:01 myself, and I consider those types of dreams to be the most difficult or even impossible phenomena to debunk for skeptics. Dreams in general are undeniable, and prophetic/predictive ones are inexplicable and unfalsifiable from a purely materialistic and deterministic worldview, IMHO. Great topic, thank you very much!
Great quote by bill hicks "life is a dream, and you are the imagination of yourself" I've read my inventions by Nikola Tesla, in the book he talks about how he used to visualize, and that he became so skilled at it, that he would go places in his mind, like travel to other countries and meet people and hang out there, and that it felt as real as how we experience reality now
My son was into lucid dreaming until he thought he was not in control but was being manipulated. i am glad he stopped.
lucid dreams can teach us about time. Also sometimes when you become lucid and ask a direct question to a unknown entity in the dream the “dream” seems to become upset and then kicks you out.
Very good
