The best advice I ever read about banking was a discussion about the 2008 collapse. "Banking should be boring." Avoid the hot new thing, avoid "innovators". Bank boring and avoid these problems.

companies using opt out emails is like me sending a email to a company saying " by not responding to this email, you agree to opt me into pirating your software". This needs to absolutely be illegal.
