Description

For more than fifty years, Robert Hastings has been doing one thing: finding and interviewing military personnel who witnessed UAP activity at nuclear weapons facilities, and putting their testimony on the record. His book, UFOs and Nukes, documents over 160 such witnesses across the United States, the Soviet Union, and the United Kingdom, and the pattern those accounts describe is consistent enough that Hastings is willing to say plainly what it suggests. The most significant case in his research is the September 1964 incident at Vandenberg Air Force Base, where Lieutenant Bob Jacobs was running a telescopic camera team at the Big Sur coastal site, filming a test missile launch at long range. When the film was processed and screened two days later, it showed a bright point of light entering the frame, keeping pace with a dummy nuclear warhead travelling at roughly 8,000 miles per hour, circling it, emitting four beams of light at compass points, and then reversing course and exiting frame while the warhead tumbled and fell into the Pacific several hundred miles short of its target. The two men in civilian suits sitting in the room during that screening were CIA officers. The film was classified top secret and confiscated. Major Florenz Mansmann, who examined the original frame by frame with a magnifier before it left the base, described a saucer shaped object with a dome. Lou Elizondo has confirmed he has seen the footage. The public has not. The Malmstrom Air Force Base incidents add another dimension. Multiple missile officers have testified that UAP activity coincided with the sudden shutdown of nuclear missiles, with unknown objects apparently tampering with the on-off switches and demonstrating the ability to take systems offline or put them into launch-ready status, a capability that represents exactly the kind of vulnerability the Department of Defense will not publicly acknowledge, which Matt's analysis says explains why none of this appears in congressional hearings. Robert Hastings' conclusion after five decades is that the phenomenon has a consistent and demonstrable interest in nuclear weapons, and his best interpretation of that interest is observational rather than hostile. Matt's closing read adds a further possibility: the first nuclear detonations may have sent a signal detectable across vast distances, attracting attention that has been ongoing ever since. Thanks for this episode and getting Robert on. I wouldn't say Lou is a credible source after he said a sewage plant was a UFO and he also out right and repeatedly lied about saying pilots told him about a chandelier. His job in the legacy problem was clearly disinformation and counter intel and he's admitted to on film he was tasked to use those skills in the UFO world. Also Kenneth Arnold didn't coin the term flying saucer but rather the reporter(s) that covered his case. In an area where disinformation is rife and credibility of those looking into the phenomenon is inspected with more rigor and scepticism than say an experimental "vaccine", with any fake news being highlighted and used as a tool to disparage newcomers to look into it, please try and be more accurate with what you say. Even getting minor points like this wrong don't server you or those in this space well, especially considering how easily it can be checked. Rather than just pointing out problems, I recommend the solution of having AI check your scripts before publication/recording. Obviously the narratives it will come back and try to discredit, but similar to wiki it can still be useful to identify undisputed "facts" about things like this. Having Neil de Ass and Avi "Mossad - a rock is a mother ship, give me a billion dollars to look into it" Loeb is not a good thing.

Hi Matt and Robert. The same phenomenon has been documented happening in US military bases in Australia since 1940 with cases from Woomera and Pine Gap. Chech out The UFOzzies youtube, he has a video documenting these cases titled Woomera: UFOs, Nukes & Australia's Area 51
