Stiglitz says Trump's "lies" about tariffs can't erase the truth about how they have raised costs for most U.S. residents. "It is estimated the average family is paying somewhere between $1,000 and $1,700 in extra money because of the tariffs," says Stiglitz. "His policies have failed." I don't understand why no one tells him that the exporting country doesn't pay the tariff. They stand there clapping like senseless morons.

Why doesn't anybody ever call Trump's tariffs what they really are "Import Taxes"?

Leading economist: "The tariffs are paid by the importer and then unloaded onto the end user." My 14 year old son, here in Germany: "Why don't adults in the US know this? We learned this in school yesterday."
