Destiny has a major problem with people sending him timestamps. He went wild on Asmongold for something Asmongold didn't even say. Asmongold was NOT saying Russia didn't do anything. He wasn't denying the stuff found in the Mueller report. He was specifically talking about election hacking, not propaganda. He also mentioned how direct leaks against Hillary Clinton could backfire. There is a good argument to be made that Russia didn't want Trump; they just tried to use Trump to undermine Clinton and make her weaker. Getting Trump as president would be a bonus (getting a wild card instead of someone they know to be hawkish against them), but it is insane to imagine Russia wanted to actually flip the election with the low effort they put into it, when everyone believed the election was going to be easy for Clinton. The IRA spent around 1m per month on social media campaigns, a lot of it was anti-Clinton, and a small part was directly pro-Trump. Their botting could be evaluated at 2 million on Twitter. The effort they put in was not enough to flip an election, but it would cause massive damage to anyone who won due to the polarization.
