Andrew convinced me he shouldn't be allowed to vote

I cannot stand listening to Andrew Wilson debate anything. It’s just semantics, arguing definitions, not engaging, the arguments never actually progress, and he’s probably THE single most smug person I’ve ever heard speak. Maybe this convo was different, but I doubt it. Like I want to support D and the video, but I just can’t listen to this dude without my ears bleeding while simultaneously nonstop cringing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Andrew Wilson’s whole debate strategy every time is essentially saying “I know you are but what am I” over and over again until you get frustrated and quit.

I love how Andrew argues to limit the civil rights of 90% of the audience of that podcast, and them cheering and clapping for it in the comments. Peak comedy.

"If you had one household voting, it wouldn't divide families against each other." I am paraphrasing Andrew's stance here....does he not realize that just because the family only gets one vote, that doesn't mean that the family members can still have a disagreement on the vote? That would still divide the family, heck it would be even worse because they only get 1 vote and the losing family member would be displeased with the result of what vote they picked. It would lead to a worse outcome overall in my opinion. One vote per household does not magically create families that agree on everything politically.

The idea that you can rebel against kings is not comparable to being able to vote out a legislator. The entire point of having a democracy is to be able to transfer power in a PEACEFUL way, not to have a full blown societal collapse every time power needs to be transferred. What a dogshit argument from Andrew.

It's the most blatant contradiction that Andrew wants "one-family-one-vote" + eliminate low-information voting, but claims men and women have fundamentally different roles. For one, the "leader of the household" would be an objectively less informed voter on matters of childcare, schooling, etc.

Actual doctor here: people are NOT healthier while pregnant and that may be the dumbest thing ive heard. Pregnancy is incredibly hard on the body, and while pur biology supports it....its far from healthy lol
