Mauler was clearly right and did a much better job than most at discussing this.
Mauler and Aba being in the same call is such a wild crossover
If a streamers reaction to getting DMCA’d is “yeah I probably deserved that”, they knew in the back of their mind that they didn’t do enough to transform the content. XQC deserves the criticism, streamers put the burden of claiming or sending takedown notices on the creators so that they don’t have to adopt better practices and they can navigate in the most monetarily beneficial way possible.
My favourite argument is- The streamers stream for like 10 hours a day and they need some filler in between. Like nobody is forcing you to stream for 10 effing hours.
Nothing says you’re confident about your position like banning everyone who disagrees.
One of the topics I actually feel destiny is wrong on but he's so confident in his own beliefs, good luck getting him to budge
Destiny the KING of hyperbolic overreactions telling other people they are overreacting about something. A classic.
The funniest thing is that Hasan and Destiny all agree that they shouldnt watch peoples youtube content on stream without permission. They just dont want it to impact them so they say "oh the youtuber needs to contact me and I wont do it again"
Are Reactions Harming Channels? (INTRO VIDEO) ►https://youtu.be/ATvQ8amYmlY
I don't think enough weight has been given to the argument that if a youtuber DMCAs a streamer, especially a popular one, there can be grave consequences. Sure, they most likely WILL get that person to stop reacting to their content. HOWEVER, I think it's fair to say that even when that happens that streamer can go hard on Twitter and say something like: "Wow really? I just thought your video was good and wanted to share it with MY audience. I can't believe you DMCA'd me over this like a bitch! Don't worry, I'll never react to any of your content again, all you had to do was ASK." And then most likely that streamer's audience and a bunch of other people will drag the youtuber and his channel through the mud
