It's a classic horseshoe theory situation. They're so anti-fascist that they end up defending fascists. So anti-imperialist that they excuse imperialism. So anti-war that they rationalize wars of conquest. So pro-human rights that they're willing to ignore censorship, political prisoners, repression, and ethnic cleansing—as long as the people doing it are anti-West. They'll cry for Palestinians but suddenly discover endless nuance when Ukrainians are being bombed, deported, or killed. Apparently human suffering only matters when it fits the narrative. Normal people don't oppose American imperialism only to support Russian or Chinese imperialism. They oppose imperialism, period. They don't condemn human rights abuses only when committed by the West. They hold everyone to the same standard. That's the irony: these people are so obsessed with opposing the West that they've abandoned the very principles they claim to stand for. Human rights, anti-fascism, and peace become selective tools rather than universal values. At some point, the only principle left isn't human rights, anti-fascism, or peace—it's simply being anti-West.
