Honestly, props to Tectone for actually having this conversation, even though the talk was a bit scatterbrained and unserious. Most fans of either person will probably hate this conversation (see replies), but I feel like this was a decent first talk. Tectone kinda embodies a lot of the conservative people I've known irl, who don't really know or care about what's going on and just think Trump is funny because he makes extreme leftists mad. I really think there's some potential ground to be gained with people like this and their fans. Moreso than MLs.
This convo is so emblematic of my issue with the whole right adjacent asmon sphere. "Oh I don't care about politics at all!" "okay so what do you think about tariffs?" *Proceeds to literally regurgitate the MAGA position word for word.* Feels like a massive cope out. "I'm not far right, don't lump me in with those!... but I'll be praising their leader and policies to my audience of thousands of young people, he is funny :)"
Can't even really tell if Tectone was able to process anything Destiny was saying here
Why do people like tectone have such strong opinions on things when they themselves admit they aren’t that informed. Drives me crazy.
insane he doesn't realize that he's okay with jokes that don't affect him and not okay with jokes that do lmao, that's the only difference.

I think 70% of what Destiny said flew over Tectones head, you can literally see most of it not hitting.
Destiny went full Explain-it-like-I'm-5 mode and it was still visibly hard for Tectone to keep up. I hope he goes through some of the parts and examples that came up to verify it on his own time, though. There is some hope there.
