Join my mailing list https://briankeating.com/list to win a real 4 billion year old meteorite! All .edu emails in the USA 🇺🇸 will WIN! Does 1x1 equal 2? Is gravity a form of electricity? And is the periodic table based on... sound? Did Terrence Howard invent Virtual Reality? As a professor, I cannot let such claims stand, especially when they are broadcast on a platform as large as the Joe Rogan Experience. That’s why today, I will systematically challenge every single one of them and explain the importance of checking your sources. I watched all 8 hours of Howard’s appearances on JRE with and without Eric Weinstein …so you don’t have to. I'm here to fact check the outrageous claims made by Terrence Howard on the Joe Rogan Experience. I did find his patents, though not 97 of them, granted and not granted and posted them here https://briankeating.com/th/ I'm wary. I don't think Howard’s ‘science’ should be indulged unless it's vetted by professionals. But some (like Eric) think heterodoxy should be engaged with. Hopefully this can then open up to a wider debate on whether science has a legitimacy issue. Key Takeaways: 00:00 Intro 00:28 Always check your sources! 01:12 Terrence’s claims on Joe Rogan 04:31 What is the spiral periodic table? 15:47 1x1=3? 22:01 Is gravity electricity? 33:18 Does Terrence really have 97 patents? 37:55 Conclusion and outro Additional resources: I was mistaken! Terrence DOES have several issued patents, though no where close to 97. See them here: https://briankeating.com/matters-patents/ and look for a correction soon in Part 2. ➡️ Follow me on your fav platforms: ✖️ Twitter: https://twitter.com/DrBrianKeating 🔔 YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/DrBrianKeating?sub_confirmation=1 📝 Join my mailing list: https://briankeating.com/list ✍️ Check out my blog: https://briankeating.com/cosmic-musings/ 🎙️ Follow my podcast: https://briankeating.com/podcast Into the Impossible with Brian Keating is a podcast dedicated to all those who want to explore the universe within and beyond the known. The reason for Joe Rogan to let people like Terrence Howard talk on his show and make these extraordinary claims is what happened right after it. Smarter and more reasonable voice came forward and started explaining what was going on (even together with him as in the example of Weinstein). For me this is an overall win. The large mayority of people listening to these podcasts (like me) became smarter for it because of the dialogue and conversations happening because of it. Topics I would have otherwise never been exposed to now have been brought closer to me. And taking everyones claims with a grain of salt should be on todays "internet survival kit" anyway.

I actually think what he's doing is conflating his own dreams with reality. It's known as the Freddy Krueger effect.

I hope Dr. Brian addresses Terrence Howard's citation of the "Dewey decimal system" to defend his thesis. (Of course, it would've been better had Terrence actually used the system to find some books in his local library, but what the heck...)

The privilege of the rich and wealthy is that even their frivolous ideas get SO MUCH attention! If a coffee king from Starbucks wants to run for president, he gets interviewed by every single mainstream show.

There's a great Fishbone album..."Give a monkey a brain...and he'll swear he's the center of the universe." ...Applies to Christianity, Terence Howard, and many more people, "metaphorically."
