I had to stop reading the comments because they are so horrible and disrespectful. Professor Loeb got his PhD at 24 and tenure at Harvard in 3 years. Unbelievable people with no knowledge or bots can leave such ridiculous disparaging comments, which are an insult to Science and people who are genuinely interested.

Seeing the reaction to professor Leon’s paper has made me realise just how much people are influenced by the media. Both legacy and social. If we all read the paper we would see that the real facts get left out and it’s only sensational things that they post. Thank goodness for channels like this.

Rather than being quiet or make up some agreement, scientists should explain their disagreement (if and when the public is interested).

In the 80s I was living in Anchorage Alaska next to Elmendorf Air Force Me and 12 other kids were standing on a bluff playing and we actually were talking about The Empire Strikes Back movie that had just come out and some of the kids had seen it. At that time a large unknown object in the shape of one Dome on top and one Dome on the bottom with something in the middle and big large bright lights floating in the center of the object rotating and changing colors floated over Downtown Anchorage. The only sound you could hear was something similar to an electrical vibration zapping all of the wires on the fences Etc. The silence was broken when two F-15s scrambled from the local Air Force Base this object flew between the Anchorage Airport and Elmendorf Air Force Base. Meaning it would have been on both Radars and cameras. The event had made the local news that night where thousands of people called in. This wasn't at night this was at the 6:00 hour where the sun was just about to start rolling behind the mountains and you could see it plain as day with the sun's golden hue wrapping around this enormous object. As soon as the Jets took off and you could see them over the base less than a mile from the object, it took off like it was from the Roadrunner show shooting out over the ocean so fast that you could not believe what you saw! If you've never seen something like this, yes you would be in disbelief that there is something out there. If not then the government is hiding something so powerful that there is no reason to be burning any fossil fuels. And I don't believe that the cameras at both the Anchorage International Airport and the Elmendorf Air Force Base control tower didn't get a very good video of this.
