I agree 100%. Bring back simplicity and quality.
The problem is that they are intentionally making these vehicles cheaper for planned obsolescence
I recently bought a Lexus. I was fed up with German car repairs cost and infinite engine light. After Lexus I realised another world is possible.
The love for the automobile, and the adventures of driving are largely gone in today's society. Manufacturers don't care, drivers don't care. It's just an appliance to get from a to b. When you compare that philosophy to exotic car market like Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. These cars are built with passion, purpose, and excitement - a work of art that translates to the driver. it's the kind of automobile that one thinks about when it's parked in ther garage. THAT'S passion! - we need to bring that passion back to the automobile industry. First, by designing exciting cars that people want to drive and not cookie cookie cutter cars. Bring passion back to quality manufacturing, and get people excited to own cars!
That's because new cars are "global." And "global," means "crap," in the language of logic.
I am living life, my car has: No touchscreen No new technology No plastic crap under my hood No turbo charger No GDI No lithium batteries No VVT No CVT transmission (my car has a manual) No insane car payments (cash car) and best of all, my car just works
Basically over engineered junk is what we see these days
They know plastic engine parts only last ten years, that's why they use them.
New cars made in North America are like new homes; the quality is subpar and price increases are outrageous.
Having to scew around with all those screens to control everything seems like it would be more dangerous than using a cellphone while driving.
