What frustrates me is most of these manufacturers doesn't seem to care about their reputation like they seemed to years ago .
They've been building cars and all the parts (engine, transmissions, suspension systems, etc.) for over 100 years rather than improving, the auto industry has found ways to make the quality of their vehicles worse. Now, that takes talent and careful planning.
Found my 1988 Toyota pick up in a field . It had been sitting for years . New rad - battery - plugs . Truck has been flawless for 2 years now . 22r seems bomb proof . Not a lot of power but does all the things I need a truck for .
120 years of building vehicles... And we are worse off....
Never forget, dealers make money servicing cars not selling them
I'm old enough (72) to remember several bullet-proof reliable workhorse engines back in the day. Virtually every car/truck manufacturer had fantastic engines they produced throughout the years that were legendary and gave the owner years of quality service! It appears those days/years will never come back. What happened to "American Quality?"
I had a few Dodges with the Slant 6 engine. Things were bulletproof.
I drive a 1995 Toyota rav4 with 113000km it’s an amazing car love it.
I had a datsun b210 when i was a kid, beat the ever lovin shizzz out of that car, just kept running, 4 speed stick
