Vehicle prices are insane, Canadian vehicle prices are extortion...
What manufacturers fail to realize is that their customers are doing worse than they are. I work for an ISP. We're billions of dollars on debt. Do you really think that I'm in a position to assume a car loan on a 50 thousand dollar vehicle. A basic tenant of business is if you're customers are suffering then you're going to suffer. It's going to get much worse before it gets better.
Don't forget about that 8k to 15k in taxes and fees on top of the listing price.
Both my vehicles are 10 + years old, I don't want a Direct injected, multi displacement, CVT piece of crap in my garage. I would rather maintain my vehicles with my small shop mechanic that I trust and can actually talk to.
Biggest issue today is large corporations taking advantage of their customers. But customers will leave! Jaguar is about to find that out in an epic way!
No bailouts!
$135,000 for a depreciating asset is not doable to anyone with even the minimum of money sense! Unless it is for work use and can be written off to offset taxes!
Can't say it enough, auto manufacturer are only interested in making their product last the life of the warrenty. Quality is not a priority. Get rid of the stealerships. Bye-bye Jaguar.
Just shut down GM...prices out of control...no need for them...lots of better vehicles for what they currently charge...they ought to pay people to take them off their hands...they are trying to bankrupt dealerships so they market direct like Tesla.
In June I bought my first car in 21 years. I upgraded my 2002 Kia Optima delta 6 with 200k miles and got a 2004 Toyota Avalon with 97k miles.
