I have had my EV9 for almost a year and have put over 11K miles on it. I wouldn't trade it for anything!!
5k miles in and we love it. This is my first EV, and I couldn't be happier. It's roomy, easy to drive, and very quiet. If you want minimalist, leading-edge tech? Then this won't be for you.
About 3500 miles on our 2025 EV-9 GT-Line, and we love it - is is such a huge, huge upgrade from our 2022 Mach E that we moved on from. Night and day differences in ride quality, usability, tech, comfort, the list is endless.
I love my EV9 GT-Line. My only real gripe is the power button but I come to really love my EV9 to the point I want to buy out my lease. It’s the perfect tool for my family. It’s extremely quiet, smooth, fast. If you can get over the fact that it’s a Kia it’s been my favorite car so far and I’ve owned, coming from a Tesla Model 3 and an Audi S7. I also have a new GMC 2500 AT4 diesel and it feels like using a rotary phone compared to an iPhone driving it compared to the Kia EV9.
Looking forward to seeing how you compare the Ioniq 9, the EV9's sibling, to the EV9.
Thanks for watching! After a full year with the Kia EV9, we’ve got strong opinions — the good and the bad. Got questions about range, tech features, pricing, or how it compares to the Rivian R1S or Tesla Model X? Drop them below — we’ll do our best to answer. Would you buy the EV9, or is there another 3-row EV you’ve got your eye on?
I am in Texas and driving between Dallas and Houston was super easy to find super charger stations, Tesla, Mercedes, Honda all work with the EV9. Took 25 minutes to get 250 miles of range.
7:50 I hear so many people complain about fast charging but I have not had any problems in 2 years of ownership and several road trips.
This was such a comprehensive and honest review of the EV9 after a year! Really appreciate you covering both the fantastic highs (especially the interior and charging speed) and the small frustrations (like those touch buttons). Super helpful for anyone considering one.
We have done 50,000kms on ours in the last year and love it, great design. It is our only car and serves us as a family of 4 very well. We tow a horse float weighing 2.3 tonnes on it quite regularly. Feels like there is a lot of fear with owning an EV, but I don't regret it at all. Based on my rough maths and electricity prices in Australia, charging at homes ends up being about a quarter of what you pay in diesel to go the same distance.
