I bought my house 9 years ago, it has nearly doubled in value. I could not afford to buy my own house now, that means I am poorer than I was 9 years ago.
It's literally the board game Monopoly being played out in real time and real life. I'm looking forward to the part where the board gets flipped over.
La Haine - Man falling off a skyscraper muttering " so far do good"...sums it up brilliantly.
I'm waiting 6 months to see a neurologist. For £350 I can see the same guy within 48 hours. Simple. Thank you Gary excellent explanation.
I love the way that you consistently make comparisons to other countries around the world. I’m an expat in Thailand. Massive inequality here, one of the highest in the world. When you’re old, and get something like cancer here, (with the exception of the rich) you have to sell your house to pay for the treatment. Fight for your NHS UK.
The middle class has been complicit in its own demise since the 1980s. We continue to see the increasingly horendous results. Thank You for your post. Concise and to the point. Cheers from America.
I’m glad you brought the fields In Ireland ! This wasn’t just a famine. They were actively exporting foods/teas off the island durning the famine. Insane bit of history
If only we could get Gary a seat at the table within the government so he can enact meaningful reforms. Love his honesty, his intellect and insights.
Falling feels like flying until you hit the ground 🎶
If I buy a house now and in 20 years the value has double, I didn't actually get richer. The House is still the same!! Now if I sell it I get more money, BUT then I don't have a house🤔 And if I want to buy one just as good or better then the one I had I need to reinvest the money I got for selling the first one. Increasing Asset value ONLY matters if the asset is NON-essential for you, so you can sell it any time you want. Otherwise you don't gain ANYTHING other than a bigger number to make you feel better and cry about later when the number actually matter because you can't buy a new house after selling the old one. Extremely important video gary❤
