When politicians say “we can’t tax THEM more because it’s too HARD”, you need to hear “we tax YOU more because it’s EASY”!

Workers paying tax is regarded as paying your dues but taxing the rich is regarded as a punishment

At around $300k in a year here in Aussie, one can get a decent accountant and lawyer and set up companies, juggle inter company loans, loaning assets between companies, use offshore tax havens, trusts and bring down taxable income to where one pays around 3-5% tax. Imagine what a millionaire/billionaire can do. The system is rigged. And I’m someone benefiting from it. Unfairly. Protect this man at all costs.

Tax the billionaires. Or they will tax you! This is the most lucid and succinct way that you've put this Gary. Spot on.

Great timing. My dad just mentioned the whole millionaires leaving England thing and I finally got him to realise that it's about taxing wealth not work. Such a better slogan than taxing the rich.

It will never stop surprising me that rich people have successfully convinced people that are working class that it is somehow unfair to tax them.

I’m a cultural anthropologist, been talking/teaching about inequality for decades. It’s very hard to help people break through the ideological fog that elites have created. Finally a bona fide economist that is able and willing to blast this message of how dire things are getting. More power to you Gary. I deeply admire you.
